Uncle Anoosh gave Marji the goose that he personally made.
Unfortunately, the death of uncle Anoosh is one of the most painful and unforgetable day of Marjane Satrapi. After reading this part of the book, I could understand how sad and disappointed she was, when she lost her hero. She was unable to control herself anymore that she screamed at god : "Shut Up You! Get Out of My Life!!! I never want to see you again!" (Satrapi 70). I had almost the same experience as Marjane Satrapi because on 19 September 1999, at 11.50 pm, I lost my maternal grandfather forever. He was suffering from heart disease, whereby the biggest and most important blood vessel called aorta enlarges. The doctor mentioned that if this blood vessel continue to expand, it can burst anytime, which mean that he can leave my family any moment. Since he was diagnosed with this illness, he had been living under medication. It make my heart ache whenever I saw him swallowing his eight pills of medicine after every meal. Not only that his appetite decreased enormously that he became as this as a walking skeleton. To me, my grandfather is more than just a grandfather, he was my teacher, my friend and my guardian. Whenever, my parent had to travel overseas for business reason, he would came over to my house and take care of me. He would cook for me, teach me how to write and speak mandarin and many more. Not only that, my grandfather and I shared secrets and stories too. Usually he would share his story of how he chase after my grandmother. It was funny and silly but I love it. Nine years passed but I feel that my grandfather is always beside me because he will always be in my heart. I also believe that Marjane will never forget Uncle Anoosh too.

This entry is the saddest entry in the book. I really feel Marjie's pain at having to see her beloved uncle die. Good Job on the blogs Melisa and the template is great.
I'm sorry you lost someone, but I think it's great that you can have such a strong connection with Marjane and Persepolis
